Per Municipal Code, the City of Warrenville has 10 advisory boards / commissions, with eight currently active. In addition, the City Council will, from time to time, establish an ad hoc commission for specific purposes. Advisory boards and commissions are made up of resident volunteers interested in participating in Warrenville's civic life. Most groups have regular monthly meetings, but some meet on an as needed basis.

Membership
All board and commission meetings are public meetings and open to anyone. Those interested in volunteering can complete a volunteer application form or send a letter of interest and resume to the mayor. The mayor reviews all applications and appoints members with consent from the City Council.
