[ARCHIVED] Prescription Drug Recycling Program Resumes

Prescription Drug Recycling - Back in Service note (Image)

The prescription drug recycling program is back!  Persons using this program must adhere to strict guidelines for drug disposal, because not all medications can be recycled at the Police Department location.  Accepted items are listed on the Police Resources for the Public page of this website under Find the Help you Need.   Additional links to other county or state programs that may include the disposal of sharps and liquids (not accepted by the Police Department) are also available on the page.   Items to be recycled may be dropped off during regular Police Department lobby hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., weekends and City holidays excluded.

As like with any recycling program, items being put into the drop box that are not included on the accepted list could jeopardize the recycling/disposal process and the continuation of the program. Please do your part when recycling medications to make sure this wonderful program will continue.  Questions may be directed to Deputy Police Chief Dawson at 630-393-2131.
