[ARCHIVED] EPA Releases Draft Report on Plastic Pollution

EPA Plastic pollution report

The U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency recently released its draft report onpreventing plastic pollution and will take comments through July 31.

 

EPA identified three
key objectives:

  1. Reduce pollutionduring plastic production.
  2. Improve
    recycling: reuse, refill, compost
  3. Prevent trash andmicro/nanoplastics from entering waterways and remove trash from the
    environment once it is there.
