Drinking Water Week is May 7-13 and the perfect time to learn about how the City ensures residents have a safe, clean water supply.
Did you know?
* Utility Division staff monitor water and respond to emergencies 24 hours a day year-round.
* They also oversee construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of 77 miles of water main, 4 wells, 3 water towers, 59 miles of sanitary sewer, 11 sanitary lift stations, and 1,023 fire hydrants.
* The City’s water supply comes from groundwater taken from the Silurian-Devonian underground aquifer, which is located a couple hundred feet beneath the surface of the earth. More on the City’s water supply: https://www.warrenville.il.us/721/Water
