Have you heard about LGDF? LGDF stands for the Local Government Distributive Fund. The state used to provide this income tax revenue to local governments. In 2011, the state made a temporary cut to LGDF. Ten years later, the cut has not been restored.
The City of Warrenville has lost out on more than $8 million from the LGDF over the past decade. The money goes to the City's General Fund expenses to support everyday services for Warrenville residents.
City, county, and village officials will ask the state to restore the LGDF monies through meetings with state representatives and the governor. You can help, too:
