Musician Mark Dvorak will examine the roots of American music at the kickoff event for the Sunday Music Matinees series, 2:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11 at Warrenville Public Library, 28W751 Stafford Place, Warrenville.
His program, American Folk Songs, features songs, oral history, demonstrations, and the music of American folk artists such as Lead Belly, Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie.
Mark will perform folk classics like “This Land Is Your Land,” "Kisses Sweeter Than Wine” and include standards from The Great American Songbook.
