Environmental Education programs at Warrenville Public Library

The City's Environmental Advisory Commission invites residents to learn about important environmental topics at these upcoming presentations. Each program will be held at the Warrenville Public Library District (28W751 Stafford Place).

Electric Vehicles Are for Everyone

Thinking about purchasing an electric vehicle (EV)? Join retired Captain Tracey McFadden and Dr. Kathleen McFadden as they share their expertise and personal experiences with EV ownership.

This presentation will cover:

βœ… The benefits of driving an EV

βœ… Types of EVs and how they work

βœ… Battery lifespan, recycling, and charging

βœ… The costs of purchasing, owning, and operating an EV

About the presenters:

Tracey McFadden is vice president of the Fox Valley Electric Auto Association and a member of several environmental organizations focused on sustainable transportation. A retired Air Force pilot and aviation professor, he now speaks on the benefits of EVs across the Chicagoland area.

Dr. Kathleen McFadden is a distinguished professor emerita at Northern Illinois University’s College of Business with expertise in transportation safety and process improvement.

Dark Skies: Light Pollution & Nocturnal Wildlife
