[ARCHIVED] Water Service Interruption February 24

A map showing the area where water will be shut off February 24.

Water service will be interrupted for approximately six hours on Friday, February 24 while we make necessary water system improvements. The area affected is between Main Street to Curtis Avenue, and Manning Avenue from Ray Street to Main Street. Work will occur from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

A system valve broke during our most recent water main break on Main Street, and we are replacing that valve. Approximately 27 homes will be without water during the last stages of this repair.

As with any work, additional time may be needed if the problem is greater than expected. Our goal is to complete the necessary work as quickly and as safely as possible. We realize that loss of water service is an inconvenience and that it can be frustrating.

If water looks "milky" or discolored after the repairs have been completed, there may be sediment or extra air in the water. If this occurs, run the cold water faucet for a few minutes, and the water should return to normal.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call (630) 836- 3051, or speak to one of the crew members on site.

Thank you for your patience.
