ComEd Offers EV Rebates for Residents and Businesses

The Illinois EPA Electric Vehicle (EV) Rebate Program application period has been extended through May 31, 2026, giving more Illinois residents time to apply for rebates on new or used electric vehicles.

The current application cycle is now open, with $14 million available in rebates this fiscal year.

What’s new for FY26:

  • Vehicle price cap: $80,000
  • Rebate amount: $2,000 for eligible EVs ($4,000 for low-income applicants)
  • New income cap for applicants
  • Updated definition of low-income applicant
  • Extended 180-day window to apply after purchase
