      Select the appropriate permit application for your proposed project. The Permit Application for Construction or Use is the most common selection

      This option is for most projects including new construction, repairs, and alterations
    6. Section 2: Property, Contact, and Owner Information
      This section provides us with the location and contact information of your project.
    7. The Applicant is the contact person for the proposed project. All correspondences will be directed to the Applicant
    8. City staff will communicate approvals or questions through this email address.
    9. If text number is provided staff will notify you via text in lieu of email when your permit is approved.

      This section provides us with an understanding of your project and the scope of work. Please provide sufficient detail in the "Project Description " box.

    18. NOTE! Permit will not be processed until required documents have been received by the Building Department.     22. Documents for Warrenville Fire Protection District
      Currently, the Warrenville Fire Protection District is not set up for accepting electronic plan reviews. Commercial projects often require a review by the Warrenville Fire Protection District. Applicants applying for permits to add, alter, repair or a commercial structure are required to submit documents in paper form to the Fire District.

      Electrical Contractors must provide a valid electrical license.

      Plumbing Contractors must provide a copy of current Illinois plumbing license and a Letter of Intent as required by the State of Illinois.

      Roofing contractors must provide an Illinois State Limited or Unlimited Roofing License

    32. Contracted roofer are required by State law to provide their license number on the permit.

    33. Section 5: Permit Agreement
      By initialing and dating, the applicant agrees to the conditions of the permit.
    34. Permit Process

      Most permits are reviewed and issued within four weeks of the Building Division receiving all the approved documents. During Construction Season (March through September) permit review times may take longer than normal due to the level of permit activity. Projects requiring engineering, zoning, health department, and/or fire protection reviews will typically involve a longer review process. Failure to submit all required documents for the plan review will cause delays in the review process. Applicants will be contacted via email. Permits not picked up within 180 days of approval are considered expired and will be disposed of.

    35. Fees:
      To be calculated and are due at permit issuance.
    36. Permit Validity:
      180 days from issuance, unless proof of ongoing work progression is provided. If project is not complete prior to expiration date, the applicant may provide a written request for one extension. Failure to submit a written request for an extension will result in an automatic expiration. Expired permits may require completion permits with an additional 25% fee charged.
    37. Acknowledgement:
      By executing this document Property Owner/Applicant acknowledges his/her understanding that (i) the City typically attaches specific Permit Conditions or Building Code Review Compliance Requirements to issued Permits, of which the Owner must comply, (ii) all applicable City Permit fees are due and payable, and (iii) all required City inspections are to be scheduled by the applicant and performed by the City.
