Protect Yourself from Phishing Scams

Scammers sometimes send emails that look official and may use City logos or City-style language. Here are a few quick ways to protect yourself and avoid phishing scams.

1) When in doubt, contact the City directly

If you ever receive an email that seems suspicious or unexpected, do not click links or open attachments. Call City Hall and we will help you confirm if it is real.

The City Hall phone number is: (630) 836-3050

2) Always check the sender’s email address

City email accounts always end with: @warrenville.il.us

Even if the name looks official, the email address may not be.

3) Know what payment emails look like

For permits and license payments through Community Development, payment links come from the City’s BS&A permit portal and use this heading:

CITY OF WARRENVILLE - Community Development

The email address ends with @bsacloud.com
