Warrenville residents voted a Nature theme for the new splashpad that will be added to Cerny Park in 2026.

And the Winning Splashpad Design... Is Nature!

Warrenville Park District asked residents what they wanted for the new splashpad at Cerny Park, and the winning theme is: Nature!

A splash pad (or spray park/interactive fountain) is a zero-depth water play area with ground nozzles and spray features, designed for safe, accessible fun without standing water.

Splash pads are good for all ages and mobility levels, featuring elements like water cannons, dumping buckets, and themed sculptures.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring/summer of 2026.

Officers Landolina, Barma, and Law helped make the holidays brighter for two local kids as part of the Shop with a Cop event.

Shop With a Cop Brings Joy to Local Children

On Saturday, December 6, Officers Landolina, Barma, and Law helped make the holidays brighter for two local kids as part of the Shop with a Cop event.

Hosted by the DuPage County Sheriff's Office and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 109, this annual event supports children in need across DuPage County and builds great connections between officers and the community.

Kids from all over the county enjoyed breakfast, basketball, and a visit with Santa at the Ackerman Sports Complex in Glen Ellyn.

Afterward, a police caravan with lights and sirens escorted kids to Meijer in Bloomingdale for a special shopping trip.

You can spot the Warrenville squad in the caravan at the 1:33 mark in this video:

We’re proud to support events like this that bring joy to kids and strengthen community ties.
