The DuPage County Crisis Recovery Center is now open, providing 24/7 support.

Crisis Recovery Center Opens in Wheaton

The new DuPage County Crisis Recovery Center (CRC) is now open in Wheaton, offering 24/7 support for anyone facing a mental health or substance use crisis. 

The CRC provides a safe space for stabilization, guidance, and connection to long-term care. No one should face a crisis alone.

* Watch defensive tactics demonstrations

* Tour the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy and DuComm 9-1-1

* Explore patrol functions and drone technology

Save the Dates for the City's New Pop-Up Market 

Enjoy a new way to shop local and support small businesses with the launch of the City's Pop-Up Shop Marketplace this fall at Leone Schmidt Heritage Park. 

The Marketplace will feature custom-built shop spaces for rotating vendors, bringing a fresh retail experience to the community and energizing one of the City’s central gathering spaces.

Soft Launch Weekends

Be among the first to experience the Marketplace at our Soft Launch events at the park, 28W164 Warrenville Road:

* Saturday, October 25 · 12:00–4:00 p.m. Temporary market tents will be set up along a cement patio area, and two vendor units will be installed on the property. 

* Saturday, November 1 · 12:00–4:00 p.m. The event will include a ribbon cutting ceremony and a craft fair. During the celebration, the City’s Tourism and Arts Commission will announce the official name for the Marketplace.

The project is supported by a $25,000 grant from DuPage County’s Member Initiative Program, which will reimburse the City for start-up costs.

From September 15 to October 15, we join the nation in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month—a time to recognize the many contributions of Hispanic Americans to our culture, history, and community.
