You Can Help Make the City More Accessible

We’re working on a plan to improve accessibility on public sidewalks, curb ramps, crosswalks, and transit stops — and we want your input.

Join us at an upcoming public event for Warrenville’s ADA Transition Plan:

Wednesday, July 2 - Concerts on the Commons at Warrenville Public Library District, 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Sunday, July 20 - Summerlakes HOA picnic, 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Tuesday, August 5 - National Night Out at Cerny Park, 5:00-9:00 p.m.

You'll have a chance to:

* Learn about the project

* Take a short survey

* Add comments on an interactive map

Your feedback helps identify barriers and shape future improvements to make it easier for everyone — regardless of ability — to get around Warrenville.

July Recognition

The City's Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Awareness Commission (IDEC) honors federally recognized heritage and history months throughout the year as part of our commitment to building an inclusive community that values diversity.

In July, we recognize: The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which became law in 1990. This federal civil rights law prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public.

IDEC welcomes feedback, ideas, and suggestions to further the mission of inclusivity and respect for all in Warrenville. Submit comments to: idec@warrenville.il.us
