We Want Your Opinion!

The City is considering changes to parking rules on several east side streets.

Some residents have asked us to move the current “No Parking” zone on Tinker Avenue (between Central and Galusha) from the east side to the west side of the street. Their main concern is that parked cars are blocking mailboxes on the east side.

City staff also believe two other nearby streets could benefit from a similar change:

* Melcher Avenue – switching “No Parking” to the east (mailbox) side

* Virginia Avenue – switching “No Parking” to the east (mailbox) side

These possible changes will be discussed at the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee of the Whole meeting on Monday, August 11.

But before then, we’d like to hear your thoughts!

Please share your feedback by Friday, July 11.

Reminder: Door-to-Door Solicitors Need a License

In Warrenville, all door-to-door solicitors must:

* Apply for and be approved for a City permit

* Display a visible photo badge and credentials

* Honor “No Solicitors” signs

You can see photos of currently approved solicitors as of June 23, 2025 on our website.

Please remember:

* A City permit means the solicitor has been fingerprinted, photographed, and background-checked by the Police Department.

* A permit does not mean the City endorses the person, company, products, or services.

* Solicitors are allowed to go door-to-door (including on holidays) from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

If you have concerns about a solicitor license or behavior, call 911.
