Fire Hydrant Flushing Begins

🚨 Public Works crews are currently performing routine hydrant flushing—an important part of keeping our water system safe and efficient.

Here’s what you should know:

  • Why it’s done: Flushing removes rust and sediment from hydrants and water mains to help prevent corrosion and maintain water quality.
  • What to expect: You may notice cloudy water or slight discoloration during nearby flushing. This is normal and temporary—just run your faucet for a few minutes to clear it up.
  • Water is safe to drink during flushing, even if it looks different for a short time.

Thank you for your understanding as we complete this essential maintenance!
