We're Hiring: Public Works Temporary Worker

🚨 Looking for a great summer job? Join our Public Works team and help keep Warrenville looking its best! 🌳🚜

What You’ll Do:

✅ Mow, weed, trim, and maintain public spaces

✅ Perform general custodial work

✅ Operate lawn maintenance equipment

✅ Set up safe work zones (barricades, flashers, flagging traffic)

✅ Assist with storm cleanup and other maintenance tasks

✅ Support a clean, safe, and welcoming community!

🕒 Schedule: 40 hours/week (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

📌 Requirements: Must be 18+ with a valid IL Driver’s License

📅 Position Duration: Temporary, summer months

Consolidated Election Early Voting Begins March 17

The April 1 Consolidated Election is your chance to vote for local leaders who make decisions that impact our community every day! 

This election includes positions in municipalities, townships, libraries, park districts, and school boards across the state—held on one date to encourage voter participation and reduce costs.

Early voting:

Warrenville Park District, 3S260 Warren Avenue

Weekdays:  8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Weekends:  9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 

Contested seats in Warrenville include:

✔️ School Board

Warrenville will go head-to-head with 15 other North American cities in a bracket-style tournament, advancing round by round based on community votes. The more votes we get, the farther we go! 💪

Groundwater Awareness Week March 9-15 

💧 Did you know? Warrenville’s water comes from a deep underground aquifer—hundreds of feet below the surface! Our City supplies water through four wells drilled throughout town. 🚰

📸 Check out this aerial view of the new well tower under construction between Estes Street and Duke Parkway off Route 59. This project will help ensure reliable water service for years to come!

Help Clean Our Waterways at April 19 River Sweep!

🏞️ Join the Warrenville Environmental Advisory Commission (EAC) for the 34th Annual River Sweep—a community-wide effort to clean up our local streams and rivers! 

📅 When: Saturday, April 19 at 9:00 AM

📍 Where: Meet at the pedestrian bridge by Kiwanis Park (off Meadow Avenue)

The EAC will focus on Ferry Creek in Warrenville, helping to remove debris and protect our natural environment. This one-day cleanup event is part of The Conservation Foundation’s county-wide effort to "sweep our rivers clean!"

🧤 All are welcome! Bring your friends, family, and a passion for protecting our waterways.
