* TGIF. It's time for the City's weekly recap to help us stay better connected, informed, and prepared.

Let's begin…

Holiday Hours

* Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25.

* Tuesday, December 31 and Wednesday, January 1.

* Garbage service will be delayed by one day both weeks. Friday pick-up will occur on Saturday.

* For emergency assistance while the Police Department front lobby is closed, use the red telephone located between the front entrance doors, or dial 9-1-1 from your cell phone.

New Four-Way Stop Signs

* Earlier this year, a resident asked City staff to review stop sign placements at the intersections of Curtis Avenue/Tracy Place/Warren Avenue and Manning Avenue/Warren Avenue.

* After a traffic study and input from the City’s traffic engineer, Public Works, and the Police Department, the City Council approved converting both intersections to four-way stops.

* Police Chief Bonilla presented these changes at the November 25 Public Safety and Finance Committee of the Whole meeting. City Council approved the updates to the City Code at its December 2 meeting.

ComEd Tree Trimming

* ComEd is planning some tree-trimming work in Warrenville over the next few months.

* Trees and other vegetation are responsible for about 21% of power interruptions, so regular pruning around power lines is essential.

* If ComEd needs to work near your property, you’ll get a notice on your door or in the mail with more details specific to your location.

* Questions? Call ComEd at 1-800-334-7661 (1-800-Edison-1).

Career Pathways Recognition

* On December 11, Community Unit School District 200 Superintendent Dr. Jeff Schuler recognized the City for its partnership with the district's Career Pathways program.

* Each year, the City provides high school students with valuable job shadowing and internship experiences as they explore their career interests for the future.

* The City received a certificate of appreciation for being a valued community partner.

TIMELY TOPICS...

A graphic that says "did you know?"
A graphic that shows a PACE bus to promote a survey the agency is doing about transportation in the future.

Take the PACE Survey

* Pace wants to hear from you! Their bus services offer options for residents in Cook, Will, DuPage, Kane, Lake, and McHenry counties.

* Pace is rethinking its network to meet the changing needs of suburban communities, and you can help shape the future of transit in this area.

* By reimagining service routes, schedules, and on-demand options, this study could lead to significant service updates, starting as early as 2026.

* Take the survey at: ReVision Project
