WELCOME TO FYI WARRENVILLE

* It's Friday and time for the City's weekly recap to help us stay better connected, informed, and prepared.

Let's go…

AROUND THE CITY...

Holiday Hours

* HAPPY NEW YEAR! A reminder that City offices and the Police Department lobby will be closed on the following days:

* Tuesday, December 31 and Wednesday, January 1.

* Garbage service will be delayed by one day. Friday pick-up will occur on Saturday.

* For emergency assistance while the Police Department front lobby is closed, use the red telephone located between the front entrance doors, or dial 9-1-1 from your cell phone.

Christmas Tree Collection is First Two Weeks in January

* Groot will pick up Christmas trees after the holiday.

* Set trees out the first two weeks in January.

* Place trees at the curb, remove ornaments, lights, wiring, and tinsel.

Recycle Holiday Lights

* Broken holiday lights can’t go into your curbside recycling bin.

* Instead of tossing them out or putting them in the bin, bring your broken lights to the park district!

* Take lights to Warrenville Park District Recreation Center's lower level lobby, 3S260 Warren Avenue, through February 1, 2025.

Ready for Winter Weather?

* We have some reminders for you about parking on the street after snow falls, what to do if you lose power, warming centers, and more.

* The City prohibits parking on the street for 24 hours after 2 inches (2") or more of snow - or until the street or roadway has been cleared. This allows crews to efficiently and safely remove snow curb-to-curb.

* If you lose power: Text OUT to 26633 (COMED) to report the outage and receive restoration information, or call 1-800 EDISON1 (1-800-334-7661).

* The Warrenville Park District Recreation Center (3S260 Warren Avenue) is a designated Warming Center.

* Get more tips at: Winter Ready
