Special Census: We Need Your Help

* A door-to-door Special Census is happening now. 

* A Census worker will come to your door to ask a few simple questions if you did not fill out the census online.

* Or respond by calling (630) 325-6850 between 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.  

* Responding is important, easy, safe, and only takes about 10 minutes!

We're Hiring: Part-Time Customer Service Specialist

* This is a professional position that plays a key role in assisting the general public as the City’s primary point of contact for questions and customer service.

* Duties include:

Handling general phone calls

Processing payment transactions

Managing internal and external customer inquiries

Data processing

Assisting residents with applying for City services

Preparing bi-monthly agenda packets

Maintaining accurate records for various City services and special projects 

Bilingual with Spanish preferred

Batavia Road Will Close to Traffic Starting July 15

* Batavia Road between Warrenville Road and Manning Avenue will be closed to traffic starting at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15 for up to two weeks for construction. While Batavia Road is closed: 

* Residents, employees, and business customers may park on streets connecting to Batavia Road.

* Concrete sidewalk work will be completed before the road closes.

* We will work with the post office to ensure as few mail delivery disruptions as possible. 

* Garbage and recycling pickup will be scheduled for 6:00 a.m. on Friday mornings. 

* Other types of large deliveries should be planned outside of the road closure dates, if possible.

* If you have any special accessibility concerns for your home or business, please contact us as soon as possible so we can understand your needs and work with the contractor to address them.

A notice for ComEd tree trimming this summer to protect power lines.

Upcoming ComEd Work Scheduled in Warrenville

* Trees and other vegetation cause about 21% of all electric service interruptions. Preventive pruning around aerial power lines is important so residents can receive reliable electric service.

* ComEd will perform the following work in Warrenville over the next few months:

1. Vegetation management: Selective spot treatments targeting woody vegetation. 

2. Electric line tree pruning: Crews take into account the species, growth rate, and location of the tree in relation to the overhead wires, as well as the health of the tree, site conditions, and regulatory requirements.

* All impacted ComEd customers will receive a separate notification (a doorcard or postcard) with more detailed information for their specific site.

Business Booths: 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Beer token sales end at 10:30 p.m. on both days.

* Saturday Event Hours:

Car Show: 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. (Awards at approx. 2:30p.m.)

Food Booths & Beer Tent: 12:00-11:00 p.m.

Business Booths: 12:00-6:00 p.m.
