* Join us at a hiring session for Special Census field workers at 11:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, City Hall Council Chambers, 28W701 Stafford Place.

* Learn what Census field workers do

* Apply for a job on-site

* U.S. Census Bureau staff are available to answer questions and help with applications

* Bring a laptop if you can!

City Zoning Code Update Open House: Monday, February 26

* WHAT: Warrenville by Design Open House: Monday, February 26 from 3:30-7:30 p.m., City Hall Council Chambers, 28W701 Stafford Place.

* WHY: The City wants to update its zoning code to regulate future development before a developer comes forward with a project. 

* JOIN US: Drop in at your convenience to view the draft zoning overlay for two main areas of the City: Butterfield Road and Batavia Road, and Warrenville Road and Batavia Road. Staff and consultants will be available to answer questions.

Save the Date for the Annual State of the City Address 

* Hear about the accomplishments during the past year, get updates about current projects, and learn about the City's goals for the current year.

* Wednesday, February 28, held in City Hall Council Chambers, 28W701 Stafford Place: 

* 6:00 p.m., Refreshments sponsored by Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce.

* 6:30 p.m., State of the City Address.

City Hall Offices, Police lobby Closed Presidents Day

* City Hall offices and the Police Department lobby will be closed for President’s Day, Monday, February 19.

* Garbage collection remains on the regular Thursday/Friday schedule.

* The City Council meeting that week will be held Tuesday, February 20 at 7:00 p.m.

* For police assistance during closed lobby hours, please use the red telephone between the front entrance doors or dial 9-1-1 from your cell phone. Police emergency response will not be affected.

County Wants Feedback on Water Quality Program

* WHAT: DuPage County must hold at least one meeting annually for the public to provide input on the countywide water quality program. The program is a partnership between DuPage County and 41 municipalities and townships - including Warrenville - to meet water quality goals. 

* HOW: Members of the public can watch an informational video about the program and then submit feedback online at: Water Quality

Storm Sewer Pipelining Project Begins February 20

* Hoerr Construction will line storm sewer pipes on five streets. The roads will be open to traffic, and flaggers will direct drivers. 

* Work involves cleaning, televising, and lining sewers with a flexible polyester liner. Work should be complete by the end of the month.

* Streets involved: Aurora Way, Home Avenue, Landon Avenue, Lynn Court, and Winchester Circle.
