AROUND THE CITY...

Happy Holidays!

* WHAT: City Hall offices and the Police Department lobby will be closed on the following days:

* Monday, December 25 and Tuesday, December 26 for the Winter Holiday 

* Monday, January 1 and Tuesday January 2 for New Year's

* For emergency assistance while the Police Department front lobby is closed, use the red telephone located between the front entrance doors, or dial 9-1-1 from your cell phone.

Christmas Tree Disposal

* WHAT: Groot will pick up one Christmas tree per house for free during the first two weeks of January. The collection will happen on your usual trash days (Thursday or Friday). 

* Groot will also take garlands and wreaths.  

* If you've got the space, put your tree in a cozy corner of your backyard. It'll make a great shelter for animals during the winter.

Senior Services Home Delivered Meals in DuPage

* If you are at least 60 years old and homebound because of an illness/disability, you may qualify to receive home-delivered meals through DuPage County Community Services. 

* Call (630) 407-6500 or email csprograms@dupageco.org for more information.

* For other meal programs or food assistance, call 2-1-1.

DuPage Environmental Summit January 18 - Online

* The virtual DuPage Environmental Summit is back. The topic is “Agroecology & Community Centered Agriculture.”

* You'll learn how residents and communities can increase their climate impact by growing and sourcing healthy food locally and equitably, guided by and in tune with our local ecology. 

* The Summit is free and open to everyone.
