Volunteers Needed for Trail Cleanup Day September 30   

* Help maintain Warrenville's beautiful trails, pathways, and sidewalks.

* The City of Warrenville's Bicyclist and Pedestrian Advisory Commission seeks volunteers for a Fall Trail Cleanup of a section of the West Branch DuPage River Trail on Saturday, September 30.

Citizen's Police Academy Starts in September

* Learn how the Warrenville Police Department operates.

* The next Academy is 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, September 13 through November 15.

* Open to residents 18 and over and business owners.

City Zoning Code Update Public Meeting/Next Steps 

* The City's Zoning Code Update public meeting August 9 allowed residents to share their thoughts on how the City can maintain its small-town feel in key areas of the community.

* Next steps: During the summer and fall, the City's consultant team will develop an initial draft zoning code.

* There will be a public review of the draft code during a community open house at a day/time to be determined.

Slow Down for Students

* Slow down, allow extra travel time, and avoid distracted driving when students go back to school August 16. 

* School Zones are 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. on school days when children are present.

* Illinois ranks second in the nation for Tree City USA communities.

* Illinois is the #1 state in the nation for the third year in a row for the most Growth Award communities, double the number of any other state.  

* In 2022, Warrenville achieved Tree City USA status for the 36th year and the Growth Award for the ninth time.
