Southwest District Utility Capacity Analysis
Phase I

Project Overview: In March 2016, Engineering Enterprises, Inc, was selected to perform an analysis of the existing sanitary sewer and water systems to handle the additional anticipated future demand within the Southwest District. The Southwest District is generally located along both sides of Illinois Route 59 from north of Illinois Route 56/Butterfield Road to Ferry Road.  The City adopted a Southwest District Plan in May 2016 as a component of the City of Warrenville's long range Comprehensive Plan.   This plan was used to establish population equivalents (PEs) to analyze the existing and future water and sewer systems.

Phase I of this project analyze the existing and future water system capacity/supply and the sanitary sewer system capacity. The consultant produced a report that included recommendations for future phases of the project as well as proposed sizes of future watermain and sanitary sewer systems. This phase was completed in December 2016.

Phase II and III will consist specific water and sewer infrastructure improvements including specific sequencing and implementation of the sewer system, coordination with Naperville to review downstream sewer capacity, a City-wide water model, investigation of potential water well/storage tank sites, and sewer flow metering.  This phase is proposed to being early in 2017 and be completed in spring 2017.
